Posted 10 February, 2022 (edited) I. Edited 10 February, 2022 by lichfielddriver. Posted 10 February, 2022. Might be a sticker on the cambelt top cover, or on V5c registration document the Engine Number section should have a few letters ahead of the numeric part which are the code.
You can tell a lot from this descriptor: for example, a Å koda Octavia Combi with a 1.5 TSI engine has the VIN code TMBJR8NX*PYxxxx. The VDS starts with the letter J, which indicates an estate body, left-hand drive and single-axle drive. The letter R in the fifth position of the VIN code indicates the 1.5 TSI/110 kW engine.
Anyway, it asks for engine number - not code. on side of engine cover it has a large in bold series of LL0 000000. L = letter, 0 equals number. There is a longer number and bar code on second sticker down. does anyone know what the dvla want for the engine number please? i am stumped, any help greatly appreciated.
